Last modified: April 1, 2022

The ViTrac™ Mobile Application ("ViTrac™ Mobile App") provides an interface allowing healthcare professionals to monitor and view a range of Nihon Kohden generated data. Nihon Kohden Digital Health Solutions is responsible for the ViTrac™ Mobile App.

This Privacy Policy explains:

By using the ViTrac™ Mobile App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

What personal information do we collect from the people that use the ViTrac™ Mobile App?

We do not collect any personal information from ViTrac™ Mobile App users and thus no information is transferred internationally or retained by Nihon Kohden through the use of the ViTrac™ Mobile App.

The ViTrac™ Mobile App allows health care professionals to remotely access information via Unified Gateway, a Nihon Kohden equipment leased or purchased by your hospital or healthcare institution ("Hospital"), using a compatible device ("Device"). In order to use the ViTrac™ Mobile App, your Hospital administration must configure the app on your Device to work with the Nihon Kohden Unified Gateway.

We have no authority over your Hospital's privacy and data collection practices and policies or what Devices your Hospital administration authorizes to use the ViTrac™ Mobile App.

The ViTrac™ Mobile App will identify whether your Device is using cellular data and will not permit you to use the ViTrac™ Mobile App if your Device is using cellular data. This information about the state of your Device is not shared with anyone nor is it used for any other purpose.

What Device(s) should you use to access data via the ViTrac™ Mobile App?

Please note that once your Hospital administration configures your Device to the Nihon Kohden gateway, then your Device will connect to the gateway immediately upon opening the ViTrac™ Mobile App. Accordingly, we do not recommend that personal smartphones, tablets, or other personal devices be used to access data through the ViTrac™ Mobile App. We recommend that you use only devices that are maintained in your Hospital or other secure professional healthcare environment and accessible only to healthcare professionals.

What information does the ViTrac™ Mobile App collect or store?

The ViTrac™ Mobile App does not store or collect user information or patient data. When properly authorized by your Hospital administration, the ViTrac™ Mobile App operates solely as an interface between your Device and the information accessible via the Unified Gateway.

How do we use information?

Again, we do not collect any personal information from ViTrac™ Mobile App users. The ViTrac™ Mobile App only displays patient data accessible from the gateway.

How do we protect your information?

Although no mobile application is guaranteed free from potential security incidents, Nihon Kohden maintains appropriate physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect information displayed on the ViTrac™ Mobile App.

Your choices.

You may discontinue use of the ViTrac™ Mobile App by uninstalling the application from your device(s). You may use the standard uninstall process available on your mobile device or through the mobile application marketplace you use.

Do we use 'cookies'?

No cookies are used on the ViTrac™ Mobile App.
